Employment Type: Part-time (20-29 hours/week)

Varied shifts-hours include nights and weekends. Great for students. This position provides an opportunity for valuable experience for individuals in CNA, Early Childhood, Nursing and Social Work programs, among others, and on-going training is provided.

Respite provides parent/primary caregivers temporary short-term care of the dependent person in the family’s home. Must be compassionate, energetic and dependable to care for individuals (children and adults) with developmental disabilities in the Carson/Reno/Sparks areas.

Must be willing to travel, usually within 60 miles of your home. Travel time is paid, and mileage is reimbursed.

Employment Type: Part-time (up to 28 hours/week, weekends required)

Eagle Valley Children’s Home is looking for someone to assist with cleaning, sanitation, and safety of a residential facility for 18 clients. Duties consist of routine housekeeping, janitorial and laundry duties to include dusting and cleaning, emptying trash and watering plants, laundering, folding, and ironing clothes; maintaining cleanliness of floors, rugs, and upholstery; controlling stock of supplies; complying with facility safety procedures; and participating as a member of the housekeeping team.

Make a difference in someone’s life! Use your talents as a cook to prepare tasty and nutritious meals for individuals with developmental disabilities in an Intermediate Care facility. A Residential Dietary Assistant will work as part of a team to assist with proper storage and handling of food, preparation, serving of food, and assisting the Dietary Supervisor in keeping the Dietary Department clean, sanitary, and safe. Perfect for someone just starting out or wanting to make a change to a new career. We will train you and provide the resources to obtain a Food Handlers Card then a ServSafe Manager Certification.

Looking for a compassionate, highly motivated self-starter to serve as a member of the nursing department that provides services for eighteen (18) clients with special needs. The CNA will perform nursing duties and tasks pertaining to the health aspects and well being of clients.

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 12pm to 6 pm or Tuesday- Saturday, 12 pm to 6 pm (around 30 hours a week)

Qualities that will make you an outstanding candidate:

– Current Nevada CNA License

– 6 months of experience at a nursing home

– Excellent attendance / Dependable

– Team Player

– Work Independently

– Communicate and work well with all departments

– Valid NV Driver License and to be able to be put on EVCH insurance carrier

– Lift and carry 65 lbs. (pass lifting screening and training)

– Pass background check and drug screen

COVID-19 precautions: All of our residential staff wear a mask and use PPE as needed. We also test all employees for COVID-19 regularly to ensure that all of our clients and employees stay safe. About half of our staff is now vaccinated against COVID-19.
