RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - For 80 years, The Nevada Children’s Foundation, Inc. has supported programs delivering the highest quality services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. That commitment includes a residential program at Eagle Valley Children’s Home and in-home respite services that strengthen and support families where they need it most.
Executive director Donna Clarke and fundraising coordinator, Dawn Harris, stopped by Morning Break to share the history of the nonprofit and details about their upcoming anniversary celebration.
The Community Celebration takes place Saturday, May 30 from 12-3 p.m. at the Eagle Valley Children’s Home (2300 Eagle Valley Ranch Road, Carson City). There will be a BBQ, live music, classic cars, kids activities and a raffle. It is free and open to the whole community, but guests are asked to RSVP in advance to help organizers plan accordingly. By RSVPing, you will be entered to win one of two 80th anniversary gift baskets full of goodies and even a $100 Visa gift card.
